Hyatt Carter is a writer/editor, a licensed counselor, and a scholar with a wide spectrum of interests. He is the author of twelve books. He is co-editor, along with philosopher Randall Auxier, of Charles Hartshorne's The Unity of Being, a new book that will be published by Open Court in 2015. His fields of expertise include process philosophy, Zen Buddhism, and contemplative spirituality. After living for more than twenty years in southern California, he and his wife Linda moved in 2010 to New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, where they now live in Eldorado, a community just outside of Santa Fe.
