Not nearly as bad as I'd feared, but not exactly sublime writing either. The first half was a bit slow, I didn't care for a lot of the plot points and I could have done with a slightly shorter battle in the end, but all in all, it engaged me enough that I might read some more of this series some day...
I was actually pretty excited for this to come out but oh my god, it was so boring.Also, something about the narrative voice just made the characters sound juvenile. Really didn't like this.
