And Denis, the captain of the debate team, is so far out of her league he is barely even the same species. While this book had its moments of excessive and unnecessary crudeness, I loved the deadpan narrative technique employed. It isn't often that I praise a book for including details, but mentions of specific songs and other details in this book worked, and worked well, adding only to its realism and ...
Fun, raunchy, ultimately hopeful. Also made me realize that I have way more in common -- still -- with an 18 year old dork than I do with most other human beings.
In the end, I was glad I read the novel and will look for Doyle's next release with some anticipation. I hope it's not a sequel but something strange and funny and maybe a bit more satirical.
