A quick fun read with likable characters. This is found in the Romance section (a section I do not go to when looking for something to read) because it is categorized by the publisher as a “paranormal romance”. When did “paranormal romance” become an actual category of books? The “romance” (aka: ...

Light story about a housewife who becomes a vampire. When Jessica Matthews is attacked and nearly killed she's turned into a vampire by the sexy Patrick O'Halloran she finds herself living a different life. Well, I don't know about you, but this book came at just the right time for me, and I was very pleased with it. It was a light, fast read, with laugh out-loud moments, a gorgeous, yummy man, a strong and funny woman, lovable supporting characters, a world that was interesting and well explained, and...

Pretty amusing paranormal that's a nice break from some angstier reads. Some parts teetered into too much silliness but not too often. For me the most interesting part was the blend of vampire and Celtic mythology for the vampire origins in this world.

2.5 stars. Guess the author is a big Mary Janice Davidson fan, apart from mentioning her in the book she also tried to copy her writing style without the same result. This book definitely had its funny moments but it also had some WTF moments, too. Don't know if I liked it enough to continue readin...

The main character was one of the most annoying characters I've ever had the displeasure to read about. It doesn't help that it's from her POV as well.

A single parent protagonist? And of under-18s too. Something different -Whoo-hoo! The humour for me was hit-and-miss (Woobies? Seriously?) but what really intrigued me was Jessica's relationship with her dead husband, Rich and his mistress, Charlene and their baby, little Richie. The emotional side ...

“I’m the Vampire, That’s Why” is a refreshing change in the paranormal scene. Jessica is not your average heroine, when she is turned into a vampire (against her will, I might add), she has some major responsibilities that she can't (and won't) abdandon…………..her kids!!! Being a single parent is toug...
