Everything in this novella is just right: the sweetness, the drama, the irreverence. I love Ms. Black's characters and her style, so delicate and languid, can stir people's feelings without using images too strong.

I read this a little while back but I had to give the story time to percolate. Lee and Jeremy meet when Lee's hockey buddies start antagonizing a group of young gay men in a bistro.
