What an arrogant, lying scumbag. If you bought his book, Simon & Schuster would give you a refund if you have problem with it. "Mr. Lehrer, then a 31-year-old wunderkind of the journalism and publishing worlds, had fabricated quotes from Bob Dylan and recycled his own work from one publication ...

I just finished Gladwell's Outliers (and re-read Carr's "The Shallows"), so I was excited to start Lehrer's Imagine -- How Creativity Works. While the book gamely tries to define the creative impulse (how it works, where it occurs, how it can be fostered, etc), in the end, the subject proves a littl...

I really enjoyed reading this book, and was so happy that it talked about the ineffective "brainstorming" nonsense. I liked hearing from artists like Yo Yo Ma and David Byrne. I was somewhat disappointed that expect for a brief jaunt into Israel, the author did not venture much into countries outs...

I just got this from the library. I'm not sure why I made a request for it, but as soon as I got it I read an article about the author from July 2012. Jonah Lehrer made up quotes from Bob Dylan in his book, was found out, and then continued to lie about them until forced to admit that he had lied...

Publisher withdrew this book after it was proven that author made up quotes for his book. He was caught doing this. I do not feel that I can trust any facts in this book since who knows what else is made up.http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2012/aug/03/jonah-lehrer-imagine-withdrawn-sale?newsfeed=true...

self-plagerism, made up quotes, in the service of a book that I probably wouldn't have enjoyed anyway.

Hilarious. I've had pointed out to me that the author just got sacked from The New Yorker for making up the Dylan comments in this book.Story here:http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/us-news-blog/2012/jul/30/jonah-lehrer-quits-new-yorkerJonah Lehrer, a staff writer for the New Yorker, has resigned after...
