In the mood for a funny UF, I was worried that I'd exhausted all the series possibilities already. Then I stumbled across In a Fix and my problem was solved. As many of you know, I tend to loathe love triangles. Very rarely do I think that the "third wheel" complication is the one that our MC shou...

I don't remember who's blog I saw this on originally, but I loved the look of the book and the blurb sounded awesome. I had to have it. But for one reason or another, it kept sliding down the TBR pile until one day, I just forgot about it. When I was going through my extensive TBR list on Goodreads...
Steamy reads with a dollop of magic, mystery and hot... hot men
Great premise - but the author failed to deliver. Ended up neither loving nor hating it - just felt incredibly indifferent to the story and the outcome

TSTL is a kind way to describe the heroine of this book. Ciel is whiny, childish, and rarely thinks any single thing through. Add to that a ridiculous love triangle and a nearly incomprehensible plot and this book was nearly a DNF. The small glimmers of humor and a hope that the story might end up s...

You know you're enjoying the book when you find yourself pausing and saying aloud, "Vikings. Huh. Didn't see that one coming."Linda Grimes' debut novel is a delightful addition to the sf/paranormal bookshelf as she introduces us to her aura adapters, people with a genetic quirk that allows them to a...

Ugh. Fuck this shit. I'm not in the mood to read a book about a grown woman who is controlled and walked all over by the men in her life. Especially when the humorous tone of the book indicates that I'm supposed to find her frustration and resignation cute. NO. Go away.

This book had such an interesting premise that it made it to my wishlist before it was even released, so needless to say I had high expectations. It's fair to say that this book didn't quite meet my expectations. It wasn't a bad book and I enjoyed some of the humor as well as the general weirdness o...

Love triangles and stupid decision making that leaves the heroine needing to be rescued multiple times throughout the book? Need I say more?

I finished this during Hurricane Sandy and told myself I would not review any books I read during that time. I do want to say though, that this book was so cute. I loved the premise of it and hope the author will write more books with these characters. It was a fun and quick read.
