I really really like this book a lot. This book has everything a paranormal lover could want. The major beings in this book are vampires, but there are also werewolves, ghosts, trolls, monsters, slayers, hybrids and of course magic. However that is not the only thing this book has that I loved. As a...

Incarnation has been on my radar for a while, so when I saw this beauty–cover all gleaming begging to be read I couldn’t refuse. My initial impression was this was a “what if” story, and what do I mean? Have you ever read a story and thought “what if” the main character fell in love with the secon...

Steampunk is a genre I want to read more of. What I enjoyed most about this story is the great plot. I loved how it moved with the reader, allowing me to take everything in. From the scenery, to the people, to lost memories waiting to surface. Each chapter the reader follows Lucy who is determine to...

Seen at Scott Reads It"Who wouldn't be driven to find the one who stole your humanity, transformed you into a creature unlike any you had ever imagined, and abandoned you to deal with that as best you could?" Immediately Incarnation enticed me with promises of a paranormal steampunk retelling of Luc...

More of my reviews at Secrets of Lost Words. This one will be a Mini Review.Incarnation took me a while to get through and even after two weeks, I still haven't made up my mind on it.I guess it is pretty okay. I've never read Dracula so I can't say how it compares to that. But it is certainly refresh...

DNF at 25%I gave it a shot, but the writing style just isn't working for me. Instead of pulling me into the story, it's keeping me at arm's length, and unfortunately, that's a quick way to lose my interest. I was really looking forward to this book, too. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

I almost didn't finish this one. I really liked the idea of it and in the beginning it was good. But it fell really flat for me. I wanted so so much more from it. Nothing really happened. :(

3.5 starsI was drawn to the beautiful cover this has, and after reading the synopsis I was really excited to read this one. Vampires, Incarnation takes us through the vampire culture in London with Lucy, a young girl who half vampire/half human. Lucy is an interesting character to me. She struggle w...

It’s not you… it’s me except who am I kidding? It’s you, book. It’s definitely you. Or was it me? Gah! I still can’t get over how there seems to be so much love for INCARNATION going around but not much of that love’s coming from me!

e-ARC provided by EdelweissIncarnation is the first book by Emma Cornwall (and I assume, its also her debut). Emma Cornwall herself is pseudonym from a well known historical fiction author, whose I believe is Sara Poole. Incarnation have a fabulous and gorgeous cover, that scream YA for me. Yet, its...
