This book reminds me a bit of several TV shows - especially The Tomorrow People. A new breed of human has evolved with special powers. In Indigo Awakening, the powers are different for everyone - and the "normal" people that know about them are quite scared. A group knows as the Believers is determi...
Indigo Awakening by Jordan Dane is the first book in the Believers series. While Indigo Awakening had a promising premise, everything else was either annoying, confusing, or just plain boring. The cover is fairly pretty though, curse pretty covers and their deception! Note: I borrowed Indigo Awakeni...
Gotta mark this one DNF. I'm behind on ARCs as it is at the moment, and this one just isn't working out for me. Makes me a bit sad, too, because I really had enjoyed Dane's On A Dark Wing and had been looking forward to a new read from this author. Well, I'll just look forward to some of the author'...
(This review was originally posted at My Library in the Making.)From the blurb alone, I knew Indigo Awakening would remind me of X-Men, which, like the case in Tahereh Mafi's Shatter Me, is never bad because God knows how much I love mutants. I was especially a fan of the premise and the unique take on/variety of supernatural powers which really sets this story apart. I didn't care for the double insta-love (yep, featurin...
Indigo Awakening throws you straight into the action following Lucas as he runs to escape from the Believers and his sister Rayne as she desperately tries to find him. I really enjoyed the intriguing story line but found that the constant changing between many different points of view made it feel d...
