It was a nice, okay read, nothing remarkable but still able to get me through the end. I liked the setting in Australia. It was good to read a different setting from the USA once in a while. I liked that Caine's stutters to be constant, not suddenly disappear; I liked that it was part of him. I did ...

I can't say I ever really gelled with this story, I struggled with it from the start but it was only after the half way point when it went from 3 star (like) to a 2 star (okay). I lost interest with the hot and cold routine on Macklin's side and then when it finally got around to the sex I more or l...

I liked the concept of this book - who wouldn't root for a guy who leaves everything he knows for what he hopes will be a better life. I didn't like the romance itself. It felt forced and unbelievable at times, as did the homophobes change of heart at the end.

3.5 - that's not a bad rating, I really enjoyed it, there are just oher books I've enjoyed more. I liked the characters, particulalry CAine, i appreciated his attitude. Macklin was good too and I liked the fact that it was set in Australia was a nice change (I used to love a programme called McLeods...

I really wanted to love this book particularly because it was set in Australia. However, although the potential was there, there was something lacking that prevented me from fully escaping into the world of Lang Downs.I think the author did a great job of describing the locations and environment, gi...

A nice, slow-paced, mostly angst-free read. There isn't a huge conflict, but realistic relationship hurdles that were well paced. I found the resolution just slightly pat, but it ended at the right place.

Loved this!Inherit the Sky by Ariel Tachna, is the first book in the Lang Downs series. I found a book that I loved and wanted more and more of. It was a book I had as a 3 in my head before I read it. I'm a huge fan of cowboys but sometimes coming out books annoy me and it makes me want to scream be...

This was a pleasant romance. I'm not sure I'd read the next in the series but this one had nice atmosphere. I think I enjoyed it more for the descriptions of the outback. Caine was okay but he seemed to play much younger sometimes than his 32years which didn't work for me. I also didn't really like ...

I appreciated the realistic Aussies in this story. No 'throw a shrimp on the barbie cobber' type slang (because there isn't a fucking Australian alive who has ever used that phrase in a non-mocking way) or the usual American-made stereotypes.

3.75 starsReview Summary: Coming from different backgrounds and having to work together, our heroes develop mutual liking and respect for each other, eventually falling in love and living HEA. There is some external tension, but for the most part what they have to overcome are their own doubts, fear...
