It's better than the second book but that's not saying much. Sadly, it lacks too much to comment on. It put me to sleep, whereas all other books keep me up until the early hours of the morning.
I realised after a few chapters I was only skimming it, I wasn't able to concentrate or pay attention or anything.So I gave up. There are too many pages for too little plot. Longer novels should only be so to fit everything in, not to prattle on and bore the reader.
