This was a beautifully written story with almost lyrical imagery and it made me feel the loneliness and darkness so strongly I had trouble imagining it could be different. But it wasn't exactly enjoyable. More later.

3.5*I admit it, I totally fell for the cover, then I saw it was about vampires and tattoos...I knew I had to have it! :)Well, it starts out slow and sad, Dominic has lived a long time and most of it alone. And he is depressed, and it was getting me down, then we see how fascinated he is with Michael...
3.5 stars. Interesting story about a vampire and a tattoo artist. I liked Michael and Dominic enough but the book didn't really pick up for me until about halfway through when Dominic's maker returns. (and by the end, I was more interested in Galen's character)
