I HATE CLIFFHANGER ENDINGS! 3 1/2 stars. The story is intense and well-written: I liked all the description of the world of Inkheart and the new characters.I am very excited for the final book of the trilogy, and while this didn't compare at all to Inkheart, it wasn't terrible, it kept me turning pag...

Original Title: Tintenblut I really enjoyed reading the first book of this series. So after I finished Inkheart I went to the bookstore to get this second book. It's a book about a world in a book, and as a child I thought that was wonderful. In Inkspell, we actually get into the book! This is ...

So, this book has good points and, like all of Cornelia Funke's work, it has some serious bad points. I'm going to take a while to elaborate.Farid. Ugh, I hated him in Inkheart, and I hate him even more now. How exactly are we supposed to believe in him and Meggie having anything to do with each oth...

Although this book is somewhat slower than Inkheart, it was enjoyable and true to the characters Funke created.

Although not as good as Inkheart, I loved Brendan Fraser's narration. And not to worry - the final book in the trilogy, Inkdeath is superb.

What is there to say? I may have misjudged this book. I wouldn't know. Because when I started reading it, I thought it was the first. I thought it was number one. Of course I caught on and found out that it had to be at least number two, maybe number three, because there were so many things I didn't...

Not as good as the first part of the trilogy but still pretty great. This part of the story isn't set in our world like the last part was, this one starts out in our world but quickly takes us to the world of Inkheart with all its lovely characters! The voyage our protagonists must undertake is exci...
