This was a quick read. I found I was just as interested in finding out who the killer was and why as much as Alex and Elise. I liked all the characters and am interested in seeing what other trouble comes their way.

Not a bad little folksy murder mystery. Much akin to Lilian Jackson Braun's books, or it will be if the characterizations continue to improve over the course of the series.
