He lives in solitude beneath the city, an exile from society, which will destroy him if he is ever seen.   She dwells in seclusion, a fugitive from enemies who will do her harm if she is ever found.   But the bond between them runs deeper than the tragedies that have scarred their lives. Something more than chance—and nothing less than destiny—has brought them together in a world whose hour of reckoning is fast approaching.   In Innocence, #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz blends mystery, suspense, and acute insight into the human soul in a masterfully told tale that will resonate with readers forever.   ACCLAIM FOR DEAN KOONTZ   “A rarity among bestselling writers, Koontz continues to pursue new ways of telling stories, never content with repeating himself.”—Chicago Sun-Times   “Tumbling, hallucinogenic prose. ‘Serious’ writers . . . might do well to examine his technique.”—The New York Times Book Review   “[Koontz] has always had near-Dickensian powers of description, and an ability to yank us from one page to the next that few novelists can match.”—Los Angeles Times   “Koontz is a superb plotter and wordsmith. He chronicles the hopes and fears of our time in broad strokes and fine detail, using popular fiction to explore the human condition.”—USA Today   “Characters and the search for meaning, exquisitely crafted, are the soul of [Koontz’s] work. . . . One of the master storytellers of this or any age.”—The Tampa Tribune   “A literary juggler.”—The Times (London)

Source: Purchased Copy. Hmm. Ok I'm a fan of Mr Koontz for the most part, earlier novels for absolute sure, Watchers, Strangers, the unfinished series I won't mention as I still get annoyed that the last book was never written, although I don't blame the author for that sometimes it just doesnt co...

2.5 Too many long-winded details
This could have been a much better book. I enjoyed it but the descriptions were way too long and detailed. It took me days longer than it should have to get through this book because the details really bogged me down. I found many of the details unnecessary and sort of boring. I like Koontz and...

5.0 Innocence
Great characters with strange difficulties, all made sense in the end. A good read, typical Kootnz with a lot of description of the people and places. A futuristic ending that left me with more hope than doom. I really enjoyed these two new protagonists and hope to read more about them someday.

3.0 Innocence
First Dean Koontz. Not sure if I will read anymore, unless it's as highly rated by Bookmarks. I felt the writing was quite juvenile and I'm so over YA books, so although this wasn't one, I stick to my opinion.

4.5 Innocence by Dean Koontz (audiobook)
I never quite know what I’m in for when I start a new novel by Dean Koontz. He’s written some books that I love to death and a few others that put me to sleep. He was also one of the first authors I read as a young teen so I always grab his new books hoping for the best but bracing for the worst. Th...
