by Suzanne Brockmann
The first time the SEALs and the Troubleshooters tried this exercise, Lindsey played the part of the hostage, and succeeded in evading everybody...But Mark "Jenk" Jenkins, whose bed she ended in that night, only to leave it quickly, when Jenk's "ideal wife" called. Now, Tracy Shapiro, the TS rather ...
Woof. I was not on board with Jenk's lady love, Tracy, but I should have had faith in Brockmann's ability to give everyone a human touch. Everything from Jenk's romance to Izzy's extra curricular activities were great. The final show down with the "big bad" made my stomach churn, for whatever rea...
One of my GR friends had mentioned that a lot of the books in this series that she at first is least interested in, turn out to be some of her favourites. I've found that true. And it was very true here. For some reason, I really didn't care about Jenk. He wasn't much of a presence to me. But the st...
This book had it all: Suspense, love, funny characters and hot sex. Now that's a good book if you ask me. If you haven't tried the Troubleshooter Series then you're missing out. This is the 10th book in the series and Into the Storm does not disappoint. I don't know how Ms. Brockmann is able to w...
Finally!! What's the #1 thing Wendy F loves in her reading material?! Romance, check! What's the #2 thing Wendy F loves in her reading material? Comedy! Check! Finally, check check check! Don't get me wrong, there were some chuckle moments in the other Troubleshooter books, but this one had the ...
Into The Storm is part of the Troubleshooters series, which begins with Petty Officer Mark Jenkins who liason with Tom Pelleti to organize a raid and rescue training exercise between the Seal Team 16 and the Troubleshooter team, and at first Jenk and Lindsey go head to head, and sparks are surely fl...
I liked some parts of the book and found other parts really tedious. It's as if Brockmann didn't know who's story to tell along side Jenkins and Lindsey. There's Tracy's (a wanne be Mari Lou and not as interesting as Mari Lou), there's Izzy's (which would have been a good idea to focus more on and n...
This was a great story with a well drawn killer, well paced mystery, and heroines you could really admire.
Who will win? FBI or SEAL team 16? This simulation war games was pretty cool. I like this kind of game. When it goes south due to a crazy serial killer, not so good. This was a decent story and I read it pretty quickly. Not as good as the last couple. I don't like Tracey. She's a moron.
Started 3-19-10I love Izzy's narration of the Mark/Tracy interaction while babysitting! Funny! Also excellent and very apropos at the moment:"Technology was a gift, a pleasant bonus during those times that all the equipment worked as it should. But they aways had to be ready to go without, which wa...
