HIIT Training is an intense workout technique whose origins remain under constant debate but, was popularised by fitness expert, Arthur Jones. Although not a new training technique, it has surged in popularity over recent years drawing the attention of amateurs and professionals alike. It is for this reason that I have decided to write a book breaking down high intensity interval training. The book consists of two main sections that are broken down into sub-sections, from the history of HIIT to mistakes to avoid when undertaking the gruelling training method.Section OneSection one acts as an introduction to high intensity interval training, debunking myths that surround the training technique and exploring the health benefits as well as recommended fitness levels and time required to undertake HIIT. It is not a training method that is suited for every individual and despite having many health benefits, it can be dangerous if undertaken by unsuitable trainees. This section is not intended to scare potential trainees away but, to educate them as much as possible so that they are fully equipped and prepared for the intensity of HIIT.Section TwoWith an idea of what HIIT is and what its health benefits are, many readers would be interested to know how to go about getting started, along with a few sample exercises, information on equipment to use, risks, mistakes to avoid etc. This section covers each of those issues in depth and I stress multiple times the importance of consulting with a medical professional before getting started with HIIT. I have provided some sample exercises, including the levels of fitness required to complete them as well as equipment needed. The book is closed off with a final round up of HIIT and a list of gyms and platforms that people can turn to in order to get going with their training.HIIT training is intense and not for the faint hearted and I have done my best to accurately explore the training method and provide useful information that readers can rely on before, during and after training. With this book, readers should be able to gain the confidence and knowledge they need to go ahead and switch up their fitness regimen.
