Another fine action packed, fantasy-steampunk addition to the Tales of the Ketty Jay. The beginning of the book was a bit long-winded, but the pace picked up somewhere near the 1/4 mark. The characters are amusing and their escapades entertaining.
Again Wooding is managing to add to his world and the understanding of the characters without repeating ground or appearing formulaic. I'm intrigued to see what happens when the series continues.
This had exactly everything I hope for every time I pick up a Ketty Jay book - flawed, likeable characters, wild situations, unusual steampunk-esque details and adventure, adventure, adventure. There's just something so fun and freeing about this series, and this latest installment brings it in spad...
Yet more awesome fun with the crew of the Ketty Jay.Not sure who wrote the blurb that's up on Goodreads though as it bears no relation to the actual plot of this book. If anything it sounds like a potential plot for the fourth book...
