Mercy Thompson's world is a home for me. I've been looking for a series like this for a long time - a place to return to when other books leave me unsatisfied or I'm stuck in a slump. Reconnecting with this cast is a joy, so much so that I don't let myself read the next book until a couple of mont...
If raped is ever going to happen in a story it should have a purpose otherwise it comes across as though the author is trying to use this heinous crime for shock value only. This series and I just aren't clicking at all, it all just reads bland and without excitement, the only parts that come alive ...
Iron kissed Characters: Mercy, Adam, Jesse, The pack, Zee, the fea, Kyle, As always the Mercy Thompson books are packed to the gills with characters, characterization, connections, and threads. This time around something seems off while it is mostly story (will elaborate below) theres also something...
blurb: 'I could smell her fear, and it satisfied something deep inside me that had been writhing under her cool, superior gaze. I curled my upper lip so she could get a good look at my sharp teeth. I might only weigh thirty or so pounds in my coyote shape, but I was a predator...'Mechanic Merc...
I was conflicted at first with this book, as I have been with this entire series mainly because of the terrible love triangle. But once Mercy decided for one guy it got better for me. I honestly think that love triangle should never have existed as it was clear who she was going to choose in the end...
WTF! It just ends there?! Mercy takes off her tshirt and drops it, and what??! Ugh!! I feel like I'm holding onto a fraying rope! Mercy finally made a decision, and I'm not surprised at all about what she chose. I'm not even unhappy because I like both Adam and Sam. I also loved the way the decisi...
Well, the plot does thicken, and this book sucked me so much further into Briggs world. It never slows down and was completely un-put-down-able! Mercy's mechanical mentor Zee comes to her for help 'sniffing out' a killer of the fae. When Mercy involves herself in fae affairs, many of them don't t...
This book ripped my heart out. I don't usually cry while reading books but by the end of this one I was a mess. I can't even find words to describe how wonderful this book is even though it rips your heart to shreds. Just go read it and you'll see what I mean.
