Isabel Yap was born in Manila in 1990 and grew up in Quezon City. In 2013 she graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Marketing, and minors in English and Japanese. That same year, she attended the Clarion Writers Workshop in San Diego. Her fiction and poetry have appeared on Tor.com, Uncanny Magazine, Shimmer Magazine, Apex Magazine, Nightmare Magazine, Year's Best Weird Fiction, and The Best of Philippine Speculative Fiction.She current lives and works in the California Bay Area.
