3.5 starsFirst of all, this book was tagged as New Adult romance, but it's not. This is a much more serious story. And the romance is there, but to me it wasn’t a central part. This book is about Sarai, 23 year old girl who’s spent the last 9 years of her life in Mexico in the hands of Javier, a dr...

I enjoyed e book. Though I wouldn't label it dark. Will say the author got me at the end when I found out there's more to the story. So you can imagine my super disappointment that it was not out yet. Anyways... This is my first book from this author. Writing was great love dual POV's. Sex scene was...

2.5 stars. Yup, I'm bucking the trend again. This didn't really do anything for me. I found it very easy to put down, mainly because I just didn't like Sarai. She was TOO unemotional for me.Yes, I know. She'd been traumatized and she'd shut down, so she was supposed to be that way. I get it. ...

This was a fast read. I was actually hooked up with this one. I'm glad the real point of the story was told without further dramas. The plot reminded of Shatter Me. Like Juliette, Sarai was held prisoner. That's all. Victor Faust as I imagine was gorgeously badass not until I found out that he's mid...

4.5 stars. In a way this reminded me of The Dark Duet series only minus the BDSM stuff and with more killing.I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started this, I just knew it was by an author I like and so, I was therefore likely to enjoy this too, and I did.It focused more on the assassin, Vic...

3.5 stars. When I began this book I was expecting a dark read. I like to go into books blind but I think because this book is so different from the author's previous book, [b:The Edge of Never|16081272|The Edge of Never (The Edge of Never, #1)|J.A. Anyone up for some Jeopardy? Um... Okay let's pause for an awkward second and admire the pink, tattooed elephant named Caithness Macbeth in the room. ... Everyone good? Don't get me wrong, this is a totally different story (more along the lines of Leon: The Professional but not as good)...

Eek. The cliffhangers! Not a huge one in this one, and technically not a real cliffhanger, but ack, she leaves you wanting more. And then, as if THAT wasn't enough, she gives you a little teaser for The Edge of Always too. That just about killed me.

Over the top 5 stars It was one extreme emotional rollercoaster. I'm actually not into suspense as a genre, because it's so difficult to do it in an intriguing and captivating way. But J.A. Redmerski nailed something totally different in this one. I've already loved here writing style in The Edge of...
