There’s relationship backstory the reader isn’t offered, so rather than romance, I’d say this is a book whose strength lies in the intrigue of its mythology, with a little love to warm things up just before it ends. 4 StarsThis review will contain spoilers. As the book is part of an ongoing series, the spoilers will affect previous books.Cole takes Joss to a fey bar on a date. The tone of the evening, and a good portion of the book, is set when Joss is easily able to pass through the wards of the bar. He’s a...

I'm going to go ahead and put this on par with book 1 of the series. The plot thickens and links back to book 1 with Naryssa being somehow links to the strange events. The relationship between Cole and Joss are defined and Section 13 makes a bit of a stand against the Order. I didn't like the subtle...

1.5 stars. So-so paranormal m/m romance continuing the story of Cole, an exiled sidhe who works for a secret, paranormally focused division of the NYPD. The case in this one was pretty weird, the "romance" didn't really work, and the sex scenes were p0rny and euphemistic. (Check out my status update...

3.5 starsA lot better than the first book in my opinion. It flowed a lot better and there was a good amount of romance. I was a bit bothered that Joss lost his arm and was out of commission for a good part of the story but the ending pretty much fixed that issue. The sex scenes had some corny dialog...

This one was a hard one to rate, the plot was good but there was just things with the story that bothered me. Cole was a mess in my opinion, he didn't mind who he was getting it on with but at the same time it seemed like he wanted James/Corhagen (there's no romance really but the action/fighting ki...

So-so m/m urban fantasy about an exiled sidhe now working as an NYPD cop investigating paranormal crimes. This was a frustrating read, because I like the characters and the storyline... just not their awkward presentation. The sex scenes in this one read like bad amateur porn, using terms like "lov...
