J Patrick Allen was raised on reading and writing science fiction, fantasy, and westerns. His youth was spent exploring the west with his family. He climbed mountains, fished, camped, visited the family cattle ranch, and even explored a castle. When he turned seven JP decided he wanted to be a writer and got to work right away on his first book, The Little Spy. He is the author of Dead West, tales about the wild western frontiers and the monsters we take with us.
