Dr. Renae Norton is a clinical psychologist in private practice with a specialty in the treatment of eating disorders including Bulimia, Anorexia and Emotional Eating. Dr.Norton, a published author, is currently working on several new books. She has just completed the first two books of a series targeted to children ages 3 to 7 that address lifestyle issues using the antiques of two adorable pups, Maji and Mongo. The series covers being active, clean eating, Anorexia, green living and diversity. The first book "How Maji Gets Mongo Off the Couch" came out in the summer of 2012 and is available here. The second book Let's Eat! Maji Shows Mongo What It Means To Eat Clean will be out in February of 2013. She is also completing two books for practitioners and the lay public that look at eating disorders and obesity using a new model which she refers to as the Pollution/Addiction Model. The series, called Cycles of Shame is in two parts. Book One: Poison for Profit looks at the role that the U.S. culture plays in the epidemic of obesity and the proliferation of eating disorders today. Book Two: What Works looks at solutions that actually do work to ameliorate these problems. Other accomplishments include co-author of the book "The Change Equation: Capitalizing on Diversity for Effective Organizational Change"; Inventor of several devices that leverage technology and applied behavioral psychology with applications for emergency medical treatment, industrial behavioral safety, weight management, and medical treatment compliance, including electronic devices HabiTrac™ , Infomate I & II, Smart Cap and Audio Tag. Creator of a corporate wellness program called InCentiFit that utilizes bioimpedance technology and behavioral interventions to improve fitness and reduce corporate medical costs. Work experiences include sole practitioner in family based private practice targeting eating disorders and lifestyle issues: Senior consultant to leaders of numerous fortune 50 and several fortune 10 companies with a primary focus on systemic change initiatives.
