And yet, what an ending. Roberts leaves open the Whirl/Cyclonus/Tailgate threesome, forges ahead with new surprising bonds that make sense and leaves this tale open for so many more stories - stories that will never get told and that he never planned to tell. But he certainly leaves it up to my...
Funny, heartfelt, full of action and adventure. I absolutely loved this, as the secrets come out and we learn truths this series, and the previous one, had been building up to for years. Bittersweet because I knew it would end soon, though.
Also, my finger is clearly not broken; I can bend it all the way with a minimal twinge, so longer reviews from now on - yay! This is leading up to some pretty astounding revelations, and a huge, final fight. Basically the Unicron mini-series, which still breaks my heart, especially since I can't...
I still love this series, and this universe. I'm crush that it's all going to be imploded, or exploded, or... well, it's going away. But I'm especially crushed by this issue. They're all what now? My heart may not be able to take this to the end because of all the feels. I'm afraid I'll wal...
At least according to James Roberts; he's been kind, and pleasant and truthful so far so I see no reason for him to lie about this. I am interested to see how he was going to end the series originally - although it's bittersweet. He's leaving the fandom for a bit, and I'm crushed. Will I fo...
Roberts is fearless: he's got big ideas, and he's not afraid to do whatever he needs to do to get where he's going. This is also beautiful and hopeful, but man, is it epically brutal. It's a good time to be a Transformers fan!
Rodimus gets deposed and another, shittier captain takes charge of the Lost Light. Poor ship can't seem to get a proper captain! I'm missing all my favorites, but their disappearance has been explained. This is really just getting good, and it's only going on for one more issue, apparently. ...
So I'm finally able to read. It's taking a while because I also started knitting. I knit my teacher some Lord of the Ring themed gloves, and I'm knitting myself some Borg themed gloves. They're going to look awesome when they're done, but they're making it so I'm reading much slower. Worth it...
Although I think a lot of it has a More Than Meets the Eye vibe, especially in this issue. Not better than the previous issues, just different, even more familiar. I loved the alternative universe, although it changed a lot of dynamics: how characters saw each other, how the action played out, so...
Last month I mused upon typing up all my feelings about Megatron starting up a revolution in the Functionlist universe to James Roberts on twitter. I, ah, never got around to it and I'm quite frankly glad I didn't. I thought, I mused, I struggled, and somehow it became clearer after reading this...
