Jacob Mundy (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Colgate University where he also contributes to the Middle East and Africa studies programs. His research explores issues of contemporary warfare and international efforts to manage it. He has conducted research in Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Western Sahara. He holds degrees from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington and the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter. Previously, he worked as a consultant for the International Crisis Group in 2005 and a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco, 1999-2001.
