by Z.A. Maxfield
I would love to live in the town of St Nacho. ZA Maxfield has created an interesting setting that continues to develop with each installment. You know it's working when I can say I wanted to shake the blue-blazes out of TJ and I still enjoyed the book. The way these characters are introduced and wov...
I enjoyed parts of this, but the lack of character for JT really kills it. I really wish we had gotten a few scenes from his POV. It would've helped so much. We don't even get to see him come out to his father. Jacob was pretty cool, but for as much as his history with violence was talked about, not...
3,5 stars. It was a nice read, I liked the humor, both MCs were nice, but it was a little too nice to be an exceptional or amazing book.
A little disappointed in this one as well. Although I still love the town and people in it!
3.5 stars. I liked this one even though JT was beyond frustrating. I get he was struggling to find himself but it was still frustrating. I also find myself really wanting to get to Cam and Dan story :) - those guys just seem a perfect match for each other.Overall, I enjoyed this one in this series a...
This series has just grown in quality. I have read other books by Z.A. Maxfield, but they always seem to be a bit dark and harsher than this series. We get angst in this book, but not too much.I really liked Yasha (AKA Jacob), he is such a fractured soul. He is not broken, like previous books, bu...
I was only going to give Jacob's Ladder 4 Stars at first but only because I wanted MORE! I wanted at least another 100 pages to show me what happens with JT and Yasha. And Daniel. And Cam. But then I had to give 5 Stars for that very same reason! These characters are so real - heroes on the one hand...
Very good m/m romance about a pastry chef who ends up in St. Nacho's because of a cold and domestic violence. He's planning to leave town as soon as his brother can pick him up... but you know how plans like that go in St. Nacho's!
My review cross-posted from Joyfully Reviewed: http://www.joyfullyreviewed.com/new-reviews/jacobs-ladder-by-z-a-maxfieldWhen Jacob “Yasha” Livingston has to go home early from work because of a bad cold, he thinks his day can’t get any worse. When he walks into his apartment to find his boyfriend w...
Loved it. Of course, now I'm dying for Dan's story.
