Jaime Rodríguez is an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry since 2000 at the Department of Fundamental Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences of the University of A Coruña (UDC). He holds a degree in Chemistry 1988 and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (1991) from the University of Santiago de Compostela. After four years at the University of California (Santa Cruz) as a Research Associate in the group of Professor Phil Crews, he joined the University of A coruña where he was secretary of the Department of Fundamental Chemistry in 2005. Since november of that year is the Director of Support Services Research, University of A Coruña.He has published over 60 publications in international journals and book chapters, focused mostly in the field of natural products and the development of new strategies for structural elucidation by NMR techniques. Author of two patents granted by the Spanish Office of Patents and Trademarks, has participated in numerous international congresses mostly, providing various plenary sessions and participating in some of them in their organization. He is coauthor with Phillip Crews and Marcel Jaspars of the book Organic Structure Analysis, the Oxford University Press.
