This book was awesome. It's one of those stories that make you feel like YOU ARE THERE, and it sticks with you for years afterwards. For the longest time, whenever I stepped out of the shower and felt chilled, I'd remember how Mary felt tromping through the forests; cold, wet, and freezing.

This book was a surprise by me. I didn't expect to like it so much, but it was a wonderful women's adventure story.
