For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleThis was an amazingly phenomenal book. I couldn't remember if I had read this growing up or not. I distinctly remember the movie, but I don't think I ever read the actual book. So I picked up a copy of the audiobook from the library to listen to while ...

James and the Giant Peach has always been one of my favorite books. I have always enjoyed all of Ronald Dahl's stories. This particular book is about adventure, tragedy, friendship, how to treat others, loyalty, and happy endings. I would use this to teach that you should never judge a book by its c...

If you're going to read this to your children though, just note that at some point the peach is confused with a giant bomb which is something you may w...

This audio book narrated by Jeremy Irons was fabulous. Not having read Dahl beyond the Charlie books, I wasn't sure what to expect. Not sure if he would be published today for children. Did enjoy James' adventure with all his new found friends.

What a terrific story! I read this aloud to two girls, aged 7 and 5, and both of them absolutely adored it. This book is full of fun humor that young children will understand and laugh at, good lessons, adorable artwork and it even throws out the word "ass" a few times. ;) I have to applaud Mr. D...
