A native West Texan, Jim has researched a wide variety of historical topics. He also is an amateur archaeologist who has wandered across much of this vast area of the state, visiting places seldom seem by more than a few lucky souls. For years, he wrote a regular column for the Iraan Archaeological Society. He has been translating those columns into blogs on his website, In Search of Remembered Earth (http://rememberedearth.wikispaces.com/).Jim currently serves as the Editor of the Permian Historical Society Annual and is also President of the Midland Historical Society. Jim has several writing projects underway, including research on the Old Spanish Trail Highway in Texas and a history of the First United Methodist Church of Midland.
