James Steen is an award-winning journalist, food writer, author and ghost-writer/collaborator.His latest book is The Kitchen Magpie, to be published in the US in September 2014.Steen's fascination for the cook is as deep as his interest in food and cooking. He collaborates with well-known chefs and has been described as 'The Chefs' Ghost'.He is co-author of the autobiography of Marco Pierre White, The Devil in the Kitchen. (The New York Times Book Review: 'A moving, unaffected, delightfully honest book. At times it's almost sweet...One hell of a story.' Vanity Fair: 'Bubbles over with pot-hurling, star-chasing antics.')He also co-authored Raymond Blanc's memoir, A Taste of My Life. And he collaborated on Keith Floyd's final memoir, Stirred But Not Shaken (Radio 4's 'Book of the Week'). Steen's other books include Marco Made Easy and Kitchen Secrets (with Raymond Blanc). He is based in London and contributes to a wide variety of magazines and newspapers.
