A sequel (of sorts) to Wilkie Collins' The Woman In White, this novel has an intriguing premise which it never quite lives up to. Not a patch on its source material, with some unlikely sex scenes which I doubt Collins would have approved of, but nevertheless a reasonably entertaining read.
