In the end, I wasn't crazy about the Twilight storyline, although I liked it well enough on my first read. Add that with the fact that I didn't love Riley ever, and I knew this would be 'meh' for me. I wanted to read it for completion's sake, and also because I'd already bought it in a Humble Bun...
*Book source ~ Library From Goodreads: In a bold move to give disenfranchised Slayers a meaningful societal role (with pay), Kennedy recruits Buffy to act as bodyguard for high-profile clientele. But unlike the other recruits, Buffy struggles to abandon her Slaying instincts and looks for demony t...
*Book source ~ Library Twilight and gang are tracking Buffy and gang by their use of magic. So, they decide they need to lose their magic in order to hide from Twilight. I’m sorry, but that’s the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard. While I’m happy to see Oz in this one, I’m not happy that his way of...
*Book source ~ Library Contains 5 stories in the continuing Season 8 of the Buffyverse, where vampires are suddenly the hot new thing because of the ditz Harmony getting her own reality tv show and propaganda against the slayers have forced them into hiding. Harmonic Divergence~ Ok, somehow stup...
I consider Buffy and Angel two of the best television series that ever aired, so it's disappointing that I haven't read an issue in the comics Season 8 equal to them in quality. It probably doesn't help that I'm less than thrilled with the artistry of Georges Jeanty. People have complained in revi...

Spoilers below, so don't jump on me if you continue reading the review--you've been warned. It'...
A disappointing, ridiculous end to "season 8." I found it very hard to follow, especially since the characters no longer seemed as easy to distinguish from one another.
There's an afterword by Joss Whedon where-in he suggests that Season 8 and the transfer to comics from TV was not an unqualified success. I agree and I think primarily for the same reasons - loss of focus on a small group of characters and loss of the whole fighting on the back alleys of the seedy s...
I squealed when I saw Oz's face, but it was a bit of a let down. Any off screen character that is going to swoop in and steal a leading man needed a bit more build up than Bay.
