Jane Thielemann-Downs is a Professor of Education in the College of Public Service at the University of Houston-Downtown where she teaches courses in Reading, Language Arts, and Educational Psychology. She has been a member of the faculty at UH-D for 24 years, and has written many books for pre-service teachers. She is also inspired to write children's books for her four grandchildren as she experiences life through their eyes. She tries hard to capture the "wonderment of life" when writing for children.
