There are some interesting bits of memoir, and those portions are well-told, but Decoded also hits a bit too hard on a rationale for the lyrics and lifestyle. I do buy it, actually, but it's a point that could be gotten across in an anecdote or two.The writing is pretty crisp and rhythmic, as well. ...
