Jean Reinhardt was born in Louth, reared in Dublin and settled in Clare. Unable to speak the language but not afraid of a challenge, she moved to Alicante, Spain, with her husband and children, where they lived for almost eight years. While in Spain, Jean took driving lessons (not knowing what was being said to her by her driving instructor, who had no English) and after three attempts managed to pass her test. Now back in Ireland, she is living in a seaside town in county Cork (she still has her license, but hates driving) where she runs a nail salon. When not visiting her children and grandchildren, Jean likes to read, write, listen to music, watch movies and take long walks on the beach. Her favourite genres are Young Adult and Historical Fiction. She also writes short stories and poetry.
