"Annihilation" is a deeply disturbing exploration of the truly alien. It's a difficult book, not because it's hard to read but because it's hard to stop, no matter how uncomfortable reading on becomes. From the very beginning, this story is a quiet nightmare that won't let you wake up. It's a vivi...

Incredible writing with unforgettable scenes and complex characters. There's so much about this book I love, and it's truly unique. Much better than the Southern Reach Trilogy in my opinion.

AudiobookMutant giant bears - for some reason I didn't get that scared of them. The author must though. One of the book covers looks more like an ape than a bear.Although this book is centered on a small portion of the human population trying to survive, the beginning was kind of sweet. Bahni Turpin...

I heard about this book from a Q&A episode of one of my favorite podcasts, Archive 81. I started reading in January and set a goal to read 100 pages a month. Eleven months later, I've finally finished it. And what a great book to keep me company in different cycles of growth through this year! There...

That's what the book is like, The strange life form found on walls are not scary. It is a bit creepy. The worst are the manipulative humans who would harm their own teammates. Being hypnotize is a mistake. The biologist found out the hypnotic suggestions when she tried to find out what happene...

I loved this book. Could not put it down. It was a very quick read but the suspense and tension made it even faster. I could not wait to find out what the hell was going on and what would happen. And although after reading this book there were definitely more questions than answers, I absolutely lov...

Audiobook:I don't even know how to explain this story. It is a fantasy, futuristic. It is a love-ish story but not like you'd expect. It is dystopian, dark and deadly. It is a physiological horror. It is a mind game. It was a hallucinogenic trip . I don't know if I liked it, I wanted to quit it but ...
