Great story of a mummy who swallows that spider and the other things he swallows to get rid of it. Fantastic illustrations! Look closely at them as the are as funny as the story. Will be wonderful fun for your little one, especially at Halloween.

I really enjoyed this book. I read it to a classroom of 3rd graders this week and they said they loved it. Yes, it is just like the classic I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly but this pirate swallows some crazy stuff and “Yo ho ho! Watch his belly grow!” The kids chimed in on this one line refr...

Ward's sense of rhythm for this rhyming text was pretty good. I didn't need it to rhyme, but not having it be that same sing-songy cadence showed some skill and control on her part. The painted-on-wood illustrations were beautiful to look at with the texture showing through, and Ghahremani's design ...
