Jennifer was born in England, lived in Canada, and moved to California in 1955. She graduated from UCLA in 1962 with a BA in English, minor in music. For several years she worked as an assistant editor for Western Publishing Company in Los Angeles, and also wrote educational materials, fiction stories, advertising copy, record inserts, and political speeches. She studied organ while at UCLA and served as a church organist in Ventura County, later serving as Dean of the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists for three years. As such, she planned many exciting concerts and was occasionally involved in harmoniously resolving labor disputes. She is currently manager of two industrial properties, one in Reno, Nevada and one in Thousand Oaks, California. Jennifer was an educator in the public schools for fifteen years and then worked with her husband as the Office Manager and corporate treasurer of an investment company for eleven years. She was Project Chair for Habitat for Humanity's first house-building in Thousand Oaks. Currently, she is Past President and Board Member of New West Symphony, a professional orchestra which performs in three venues in Ventura County and Santa Monica. In 2011, she successfully negotiated a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with the American Federation of Musicians, on behalf of the New West Symphony. She also chaired the Music Director Search Committee which selected the new conductor (2012) Marcelo Lehninger from Brazil, and assisted in defining the terms of his contract. After experiencing the visual and tonal impact of the pipe organ at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, she decided to write a book about its design and construction. Published in 2007, it is entitled A Forest of Pipes. (www.aforestofpipes.com) A few years later, she became the Co-Executive Producer of the premiere recording of the Walt Disney Concert Hall Organ, First & Grand, released as a CD in 2010 with Christoph Bull (UCLA Professor) as the organist. Most recently, she co-produced a documentary DVD - The Walt Disney Concert Hall Organ - which includes a bonus CD - allowing audiences to appreciate the sounds of this unique instrument through performances by ten different organists. It is a fascinating story, brought to life through interviews, music, and exceptional videography - (www.disneyhallorgan.com). Jennifer plays piano and organ and likes researching historic music. She loves to travel and has enjoyed trips to Africa, Australia, China, Europe and Mexico, as well as many areas of the United States. She lives in Thousand Oaks, California, with her husband, Craig. They have two grown children and four grandchildren.
