My passion for food, specifically sweet baked goods, began at a young age. Baking at home transpired into working at bakeshops, restaurants and eventually fine dining establishments. A B.A. was earned while I continued work in hotels and restaurants with an added A.A.S. in Culinary Arts - I finally had found my passion. Twenty plus years in the food industry inspired me to move towards teaching and writing about sweet baked goods.As a 5th generation Chicagoan I am honored to tell the stories of immigrant's baking traditions combined with rich company histories, and the lore of contemporary and historical recipes.Current readership has demanded an electronic book.
