As part of my plan to knock off TBR books quicker by checking out audio versions, I started this book just at the tail end of last year, but didn't make enough progress before holidays, so picked it back up this month. But there were problems: My first audio, checked out from my local library, wa...

Lovely little book, perfect for rainy days. The comic situations and the magnetic writing are the key ingredients of Jerome K. Jerome's most popular novel.

Barwna opowieść o dziarskich facetach, i ...

Mnóstwo zabawnych historyjek, anegdotek z ich życia. Angielski humor.

The first time I heard of Three Men in a Boat it was while reading To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis. Part of her story pays homage to Three Men in a Boat, and both stories are enjoyable. I laughed out loud several times at the antics of George, Harris, Jerome, and Montmorency. I loved th...
Steeped in Science, Submersed in Story
Very funny tour of the Thames with three men who, frankly, surprise me with their survival. And a dog. Of course. These characters have no self awareness, but make up for it by being aware of one another. Somehow it all works out. In the end, it's just plain entertaining.
