Jesse Horn is an American children's writer and illustrator. He has worked for several years as a journalist and executive editor for the Mogollon Connection newspaper. Among his past unusual occupations he has worked for a secret company that produced a large amount of smoke, as well as for a large amount of smoke that did not know it had company. He is passionate about writing and illustrating for children, and when he is not attempting to hide the skeletons kept in his closet, he is busy running from them. Fire Department and sits on the White Mountain Child Abuse Prevention Council. In 2016 it was announced on the Skeptoid website that Horn was diagnosed with Gioblastoma grade 4, a deadly brain cancer. Author Catherine Ryan Hyde posted on her facebook that a gofundme account was set up in Horns name to help him and his family with expenses.
