Juvenile. For a "kids inspirational" book, this one ended up having a rather celebrated subject in ballerina / skater Katherine Healy, then 10 years old, a protégée of John Curry (who is well illustrated in rink and performance shots), a fan of Gelsey Kirkland (yes, there's a photo of them together)...
I didn't read this because I was terribly interested in the lives of young dancers. I read it because Jill Krementz was married to Kurt Vonnegut, whom I loved.
