I loved the first two sections of this book! I thought the writing style and perspective was unique, clever and engaging. I was not as pleased with the last two sections. I didn't like the shift in perspective and I wasn't totally convinced by the descriptions of a mental breakdown.
McCorkle has been writing marvelous Southern fiction for twenty years, just impressing the hell out of me. I hope she keeps it up for a very long time.
