JJ Slate has been writing in some capacity for most of her life. Born in Massachusetts, she has always been fascinated with true crime stories, especially missing persons and cold cases. A self-proclaimed "trial junkie" and "forensic science nerd," JJ currently lives with her husband in New England. When she isn't writing or researching her next book, she is usually blogging about current cases in the media.JJ released two books in 2014:- "Missing Wives, Missing Lives": JJ's debut true crime book is a compilation of true cases about wives that have gone missing. Published on June 16, 2014 via RJ Parker Publishing, Inc., it quickly became an Amazon bestseller in several categories.- "Social Media Monsters: Internet Killers": Published on September 18, 2014, JJ Slate and RJ Parker co-authored this book together. It highlights cases of killers who use social media to locate, stalk, lure, or exploit their victims. It also provides an inside look on how law enforcement is using social media to catch criminals, as well as what you can do to protect yourself and others from online predators. JJ also wrote the final case file in RJ Parker's "Serial Killers Abridged," which published May 31, 2014, a summary of the Long Island Serial Killer case.
