Jo Guldi is Hans Rothsfels Assistant Professor of History at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She was born in Dallas, Texas, where she first became interested in the deep history of economic exclusion. She has been a fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows and the University of Chicago, and she has published on the contemporary politics of landscape in such publications as the Huffington Post, Counterpunch, and Alternet.
