I qualified as a Barrister and then swiftly realised that a career at the bar was not for me. Instead, after a year spent travelling across Africa and being a ski rep in the French Alps, journalism beckoned with a stint working as a Researcher for BBC London Radio. From radio I moved into TV production, assistant producing on The Frost Programme, Beyond Belief and BBC Documentaries before switching to working in front of the camera. Five years were spent as a Reporter and Presenter for ITV London on programmes ranging from news to travel shows. Credits include London Today, London Tonight, Capital Gains, Europe a la Carte, Five Star Adventure and Travel Xpress. Throughout my career I have also written features for several national UK newspapers including the Daily Mail, the Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent and the Express and have penned an anonymous column for the Independent: Diary of a Primary School Mum. Since marrying and having three children my wanderlust has exploded, a passion which has been combined with travel journalism. I'm proud (and occasionally embarrassed) to say that my three under '11s are some of the best travelled kids in the world as they've joined me in cruising and kayaking and cycling and skiing across the globe. We are shortly to acquire a pet goldfish, although my youngest Hannah would prefer a ring-tail lemur. I have published two contemporary romances: Lover in Law and Weak at the Knees. My third novel, Now is our Time, will be released on September 12, 2014. It's a second chance love story set between London and San Diego.Find out more at www.jokessel.com

The tag line of the book is “We got so busy living life that we forgot to live our dreams.” The thing is, I'm not sure I ever really got around to unders...
