Joel L. Young, M.D., is an experienced psychiatrist who treats adults and adolescents with serious psychiatric disorders. He has frequently advised the parents of severely ill adult children on how to handle major problems and issues. In addition, Dr. Young is a forensic psychiatrist, expert in the criminal problems associated with mental illness and substance abuse. He has authored books on adult ADHD, including ADHD Grown Up (W.W. Norton, 2007) Contemporary Guide to Adult ADHD (Handbooks in Health Care, 2009).
