Joel Willitts is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Biblical and Theological Studies Department at North Park University. He also serves as the College Pastor at Christ Community Church in St. Charles, IL. He has had a wide breadth of experience within both the church and academy. After graduating with a BS (’93) he spent 7 years in youth ministry in Texas, Florida and Illinois. He eventually earned a Th.M. (’00) from Dallas Theological Seminary and then a M.Phil. (’02) and Ph.D. (’07) from Cambridge University in England. He is married to Karla (20 years) and they have twins, Zion and Mary.
